The Madrid TECH Show 2024 officially commenced today at IFEMA facilities, with stakeholders in the technology market attending from across Europe and globally. The two days’ conference, which takes place on the 16th and the 17th of October, addresses such topics as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data management.
The participants of this year’s show expect more than 15 thousand visitors to check the exhibition presentations of more than 300 companies. The event’s organizers put this growth down to the increased prominence of digitalization after the pandemic and Madrid’s gradual ascension to the ranks of tech city hubs in Southern Europe.
Due to the extensiveness of the exhibition, one of the most notable events on the first day was the AI Innovation Zone, where various companies exhibited the latest case of the use of artificial intelligence in the industries. Spanish startup Neurotech presented a new language translation tool based on AI that promises real-time translation of over 50 languages with incredible accuracy. The company’s CEO Maria Rodriguez said: “We want to eliminate language barriers in international business and promote cooperation around the world”.
Cyber Security was at the forefront at the Cyber Security World section of the show. Due to a continued rise in the occurrence and complexity of cyber threats, several participants were interested in the current methods to protect against such threats. Security company EfficientIP has unveiled its new DNS security solution aimed at addressing new and evolving threats in the 5G world.
The event also consists of a number of keynote speeches as well as panel discussions. Speaking to the group of tech industry professionals, Dr. Alejandro Fernandez, Tech industry veteran and futurist, provided much food for thought as he presented on the ethical use of AI in society. The importance of sustainability was presented in the Data Centre World part. As energy requirements of data centers increased, vendors demonstrated new cooling solutions and energy-saving approaches. Spanish engineering firm GreenDC unveiled its innovative liquid cooling solution, which will reduce data center consumption by up to 40%.
The E-commerce and Marketing Technology zones had the most action, with retailers and marketers seeking better ways on how to market and sell goods digitally. A few companies presented AI- Driven Smart Experience Orchestration and Cyber-Analytics solutions and Solution and a couple of them are aimed to help businesses to understand and connect with customers.
By the end of the first day of the Madrid Tech Show 2024, the participants were happy with the presented technologies and communication prospects. The event is also helping Madrid reinforce itself as the rising star tech hub attracting the global talents and funding.
